Focus apps built on punishment, such as a dying tree, a lost streak or a penalty for cancelling, drive away the people who most need help focusing. Companion apps are warmer but rarely include a real deep-work timer.

Cappy is a focus companion designed first for ADHD, for adults and students who struggle with time blindness or anxiety. A capybara works alongside a gentle, shrinking timer, grows with the focus minutes you put in, and is never harmed: a missed day is simply a nap.

    Tap once and the capybara settles beside a large shrinking timer. Stop at any time and keep the minutes.

  • Flexible sessions, gentle alerts

    25, 50 or 90 minutes, a custom length, or a two-minute “just start”, with gentle pre-alerts instead of an alarm.

  • Grows with focus, not money

    Sessions earn Ripples and move the capybara through its growth stages.

  • Earn-only cosmetics

    Spend Ripples on outfits and decor for the capybara’s cove. None of it is for sale.

  • A forgiving streak

    Freezes and grace days repair a lapse. Returning is celebrated and missing a day is never shamed.

  1. Adopt a capybara

    Choose a coat, pronouns and a name. No sign-up is needed.

  2. Start a session

    Tap once and pick a duration, or try a two-minute start. Stopping early keeps your minutes.

  3. Earn and grow

    Earn Ripples, watch the capybara grow, and spend Ripples on cosmetics.

  4. Come back any day

    The streak repairs with grace days, and insights show how long things really take.

Privacy and data.

Cappy works without an account, and focus history and progress are stored on the device. There are no ads, and data is never sold.

  • Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collect anonymous usage events and crash data, including in guest mode.
  • Account and data deletion is available in the app or by email.

Nothing is taken away. Stopping early keeps your minutes, a missed day means Cappy is napping, and the streak repairs with grace days.

Is my focus data private?

Focus history stays on your device and is never sold or shared with advertisers. The app sends anonymous analytics and crash reports.
